I have always had a rather smug opinion of internet "blogs," if for no other reason than the horrendous intermingling of the word "web" and "log." Really, it sounds like a desease, "o man I got the blog!" But this past Wednesday night when Scott spoke of this "dream" he had had since the beginning of his pastoral career, I knew it was my call to become a "blogger." I know it may sound obnoxious to say that the great I Am would place blogging on the heart of his servant, but then again he did command Isaiah to become a nudist for three years (don't believe me? look it up). G-d willing this "blog" will exist for the purpose of reporting Kingdom of Heaven spottings. Which is a good segue into explaining the use of "Kingdom" as an adjective. From this moment on, I, the blogger of the LORD, may use the word "Kingdom" (with a capital K) as an adjective to descirbe fantastic displays of G-d's will. For example, Jesus Christ in the Gospel of John washes his disciple's feet, to which I have always imagined someone like Bartholomew responding, "Dude that is so Kingdom!" I think it should be inducted into everyone's lexicon.
Scott's dream was to provide an easy way for people to in a sense, catch up with all of G-d's movement in our community. That is confessedly overly ambigous for this scribe, but here it goes...come let us be obediant to yet another "crazy idea."
